Important Information:
- Activation of the eSIM is as simple as scanning the provided QR code.
- This eSIM is exclusively for data usage; it does not include calls or texts.
- No identification registration is required for activation.
- The eSIM is provided by CHT, a prominent Taiwanese operator.

- Typically, the plan begins when the eSIM connects to the supported network, allowing for installation without immediate plan initiation, even in Australia.
- Avoid turning on data roaming, and remember to deactivate the eSIM line after installation to prevent accidental activation. We are not liable for accidental plan activation.
- To prevent expiration, the eSIM must connect to a supported network and be utilized within 180 days of purchase.
Troubleshooting Guide
The eSIM will usually only activate when it connects to a supported network operator. For example, you can scan the eSIM in Australia without activating it. However, please ensure that you do not turn on data roaming and please turn off the eSIM line until you reach your destination.
Our eSIM generally works with no issues, however if you encounter any issues with the eSIM, please check the following:
- You must be connected to Wi-Fi when scanning the eSIM
- Turn off any other SIM and any VPN (if applicable), your phone also must also not be on airplane mode
- Turn data roaming on (Android: select all network)
- Ensure mobile data is sourced from our SIM and wait at least 10 minutes for activation – refrain from changing any mobile settings
- APN should be “internet” (if it is not internet please wait or restart the phone, do not change manually)
- Network operator should be automatically selected but if it isn’t please try selecting manually to a different operator (KDDI/Softbank/NTT Docomo)
- Restart your phone (off / on) or turn airplane mode on / off
- If you experience drop outs please turn on / off the eSIM line and you may also want to try selecting a different operator manually where applicable (see the list below)
- Please check your mobile network settings to make sure the eSIM was installed (occasionally it may looked like the eSIM did not install successfully however it may already be installed on your phone)
- Please do not delete the eSIM, if you accidentally deleted the SIM it may take up to 24 hours for us to reset the eSIM.
eSIM QR code along with the instruction will be sent via email instantly (please check your junk/spam email). Please note if you purchase a physical SIM in the same order, the eSIM will need to be sent manually (i.e. NOT instant), we recommend buying the eSIM separately.

*The list below only applies to Australian mobile phone, please always check your mobile phone settings to see if you have “add eSIM” function to confirm compatibility or dial *#06# and see if you have “EID” number. For example, some iPhone purchased from China, HK or Macau and Samsung Galaxy purchased from US and Hong Kong versions do NOT have eSIM functionality. Pixel 3a from South East Asia is not compatible with eSIM.
